Route description:

By car: From Auckland take SH1 to Whangarei. With good weather conditions this will take about 2½ hours. Stay in Whangarei on SH1, direction Cape Reigna until the roundabout with direction Kamo (Kamo Road). When you have passed the shopping centre take the Pipiwai Road at left hand. After 700 meters the Parakiore Road with the sigh 'Tibetan Centre' is at your right. Drive up the hill. At the very top Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling is at your left hand.

By bus: There are several companies coming up from Auckland. Customer Service: 0900 62533 between 7am 7pm  The bus stop is at Kamo Centre or ask the driver to stop at the bottom of Pipiwai Road. To walk to the centre takes about 20 minutes (big part uphill)

By air: The airport is at Onerahi, Whangarei Heads at about 15 minutes from Whangarei Centre.
