Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling Calendar of events for 2010

It has taken us several months to put this calendar of events together for you.  Please take advantage of the centre and our programme – you are most welcome to come and take part in any of the events we hold here, as they are done for your benefit and the benefit of all.

Please remember that whilst we will try our best to stick to this programme – things may change.

Regular Weekly Programme: (during term dates)

Sundays

10am to 11:15am: Teachings with Geshe-la followed by a short meditation and a cup tea.

Centre Public Open Days: Second Saturday of each month from 10am to 4pm

Where members are at the centre to welcome interested members of the public, take them around, show and tell, etc

Retreat weekend/weeks at the Centre:

These will be teachings with Geshe Sangey Thinley on the weekends, followed by a practice retreat from the Sunday evening until the following Friday morning. 

People may attend just the weekend, or just the week practice or best to do both.

3 Month Course on Four Noble Truths: 24th April to 25th July

A first for the centre, this is a more serious study course spanning three months.  Participants will be expected to come to the first and last weekend retreat, and attend the weekly teachings by Geshe Sangey Thinley on the Thursday evenings.  For those attending the course from afar – we are looking at Skype possibilities and/or recording and sending the teachings out to you – so attending the course from a distance may be possible.

Course related retreat weekends to diarize:

  1. 24th & 25th April – Start of the course
  2. 24th & 25th July – course conclusion and examination.

Regular Teachings on Waiheke Island and in Auckland:

Geshe-la has accepted invitations to teach in Auckland and on Waiheke Island on the 3rd weekend of every month.   
 

The teachings in Auckland will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2pm starting on the 17th April.  These will probably be held in the Grey Lynn community hall.

Auckland Dates: 17th April, 15th May, 19th June, 17th July, 21st August, 18th September, 16th October, 20th November, 18th December. 
 

The classes on Waiheke Island will be on Sunday @11am followed by a shared lunch.  

Waiheke Island Dates: 18th April, 16th May, 20th June, 18th July, 22nd August, 19th September, 17th October, 21st November, 19th December.

Regular Teachings in Kerikeri

Geshe-la will teach in Kerikeri at the Kerikeri Events Centre @ 7pm on the first Wednesday of each month, starting in May:
