Retreat on The Six Perfections

The Six Perfections, or paramitas, are fundamental guides and pillars of Mahayana Buddhist practice. The perfections are virtues to be cultivated and developed by anyone wishing to have a more peaceful, harmonious and happy life. For Buddhist practitioners the practice of the Six Perfections strengthen ones practice and brings one to enlightenment – the ultimate peaceful state of mind.

The six perfections are: generosity, ethics, patience, enthusiastic perseverance, concentration and wisdom.

For each perfection we will be looking at its meaning, the method of following it, its divisions and what should be done in the practice of that perfection.
