Exploring Buddhism Courses
The Exploring Buddhism courses I and II are given by Shelène Spoek.
The Exploring Buddhism course I "Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism" on Tuesday evenings is meant for those who wish to learn more about the teachings of the Buddha. During the evening, we show the video-series “Discovering Buddhism at Home” that touches the vital points of Tibetan Buddhism as presented in the lineage of the Dalai Lama’s tradition. The series includes teachings with some of the great Tibetan Lamas of our time as well as experienced Western teachers. Each video also contains personal interviews with student practitioners. This is a clear and accessible presentation of the Mahayana path for both beginners and experienced students. After the videos an open discussion will be held and there is the possibility to ask questions.
The Exploring Buddhism course II "More about Mahayana Buddhism" on Wednesday evenings is a follow-up for everybody who has seen the video-series or who wants to know more about the different subjects. We go deeper into the teachings, refine the definitions and look at the different analytical ways of approach.
