A place to begin

Introduction to Buddhism

Explore core Buddhist ideas, ask questions and decide for yourself what is useful in daily life.

Curious About Buddhism?

The centre's introductory courses are for people who know very little about Buddhism as well as those who have encountered some teachings and would like a clearer overview.

Courses introduce the Mahayana Buddhist path in an open, conversational setting. You do not need to be Buddhist, adopt a belief, or have previous meditation experience to take part.

  • Ask practical questions in a respectful setting.
  • Learn how Buddhist ideas relate to compassion and everyday life.
  • Meet local practitioners and discover further study options.
  • Check the programme for the next course dates and location.
