Teachings with Geshe-la

Sunday Teachings

Traditional Buddhist teaching, translated into English and offered in a welcoming community setting.

Everyone Is Welcome

Venerable Geshe Sangey Thinley, affectionately known as Geshe-la, offers teaching and spiritual advice grounded in a lifetime of monastic study and practice. Teachings are translated into English.

You do not need to be Buddhist to attend. Chairs and cushions are available, and there is usually time for questions and a cup of tea after the teaching. First-time visitors can contact the centre if they would appreciate being met on arrival.

  • Bring an open mind; a notebook is optional.
  • Dress comfortably and respectfully.
  • Check the calendar before travelling for the confirmed time.
  • Some first Sundays include a shared vegetarian lunch and community working session.
