Geshe-la teaches on Waiheke Island
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Geshe-la will be teaching “The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation” at Morra Hall on Waiheke Island this Sunday at 10am.
Geshe-la’s teachings will kindly be translated from Tibetan into English by Anton Weiersmuller.
“The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation” is one of the most important texts from a genre of Tibetan spiritual writings known as lojong (mind training).
This root text was written by the eleventh-century meditator Langri Tangpa Dorje Senghe. His Holiness the Dalai Lama refers to this work as one of the main sources of his own inspiration and includes it in his daily meditations. It presents methods for developing the mind in both love and compassion.
